For sixteen years WAGES has been training new cooperators and helping them launch their own green housecleaning cooperatives. Now, one of the co-ops is playing an active role in the training process. |

Principle Six: Cooperative Trade MovementMinnesota, Wisconsin, MassachusettsCo-op Type: Food, Co-op Type: Retail, Co-op Type: Worker-owned The sixth international principle of cooperatives is “cooperation among cooperatives.” Simply put, it says that co-ops believe in supporting each other. Imagine the power behind an entire network of co-ops leading with their values and encouraging their members to do the same. Principle Six is a pilot initiative that intends to build a food system and economy in alignment with cooperative values. Principle Six members highlight and promote products which meet the group’s “highest values,” including cooperative-sourced and distributed foods and products. |

The park was purchased at a foreclosure auction with financing from ROC USA™ Capital, the finance arm of a non-profit social enterprise that supports resident ownership of manufactured home communities across the country. Now, Meadow Valley residents have an opportunity to buy a membership in Meadow Valley Park, Inc. and become part owners in their community. |
